Easy Answers for Common Questions
How long will my tour last? Can I bring my dog?
Most tours average 15 to 30 minutes. For the tour its best to leave them at home. We really want to have undistracted one-on-one time with just you to really learn how you’d like to plan the services you need help with.
What should I know going into this?
It’s helpful to know what services you are interested in. We offer Lodging, Daycare, Grooming and Training. We’re going to get down to the nitty gritty of what you need and your pet needs to better the relationship and make you their hero. Don’t feel like you need to have everything figured out before you come in; we’re pretty good at helping you get to the right path.
Should I bring anything with me?
All dogs and cats need to be up to date on vaccinations for: Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella (dog only). It is something we will need at some point if you choose to book services with us. But don’t worry if you don’t happen to have them ready at hand. There are several ways you can get them to us and we can let you know when you come for your tour. And by the way, don’t feel weird if you to want to show us your pictures of your dog or cat. We love it. Who doesn’t have pictures on their smart phone!
Am I going to be talking to a knowledge person?
Yes and a chunk of our team has been here over 15 years. We are all super-committed to helping you figure out what’s best for your dog. If we don’t think Meyer’s is the best fit for you, we’ll just tell you so.
How does booking services with Meyer’s work?
Once you’ve decided which service(s) you want we will set a plan, what we call a GROUNDWORK PLAN for your pet. We will guide you through the plan and do our part to give you feedback and let you know how it’s progressing.
Is it okay to schedule a tour if I’m not quite ready to sign up for a service?
Absolutely! Coming out for a tour is a lot of fun and we actually prefer it. Some of our services have time constraints and we want to set your pet up for success. You get to see all that we do here at the farm, meet some of the team, and see how our whole operation works. We would love to have you out even if you’re not ready to pull the trigger on a service.
What are your Hours?
Our facility hours are typically 8:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 8:30 -12 and Sunday 4-6 pm, but if you take a peek at our scheduling form it will tell you exactly what slots for tours are available for each day. But don’t worry staff is here outside of those hours behind the scenes caring for everyone.
Can I just show up without an appointment?
Yes but, we very much prefer for you to book an appointment because at certain times we are busier with the pets and we want to make sure we have enough to spend with you when you come out. You are welcome to book an appointment for the same day, but if you would like a Saturday slot it's best to book early in the week or even the week before to make sure we have a spot for you.
